National Institute of Agricultural Planning and Projection
(NIAPP) belong to
the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) with its predecessor as
the Department of Agricultural Planning (former the Ministry of State Farm) that
was founded in September 1961.
Over 40 years of her working experiences through a wide range collaboration
and cooperation from domestic to foreign institutions, universities and
scientist as well. NIAPP has produced numerous research works in conjunction
with surveys, investigations, planning and design for agricultural and rural
development and diversified projects, all are contributing to building and
developing nationwide agriculture.
Presently, the total NIAPP's staff is 700, of which 70% and 15% obtained the
university degree and higher degrees and scientific tiles (Professor, Associate
Professor, PH.D. and MS), respectively. Their specialties are covering pedology,
remote sensing, mapping geodesy, plantation, animal husbandry, economy, land use
planning, environmental science, climatology, irrigation, transport, rural
infrastructure building, information, etc. Through the long process of
operation, many NIAPP's cadres have professionally been maturing in the aspects
of agricultural planning and formulation of agricultural planning and
formulation of agricultural and rural development projects.
